bunch of ice productions began on a whim as a vehicle to produce our first short film, hamlet: a comedy in three acts. despite our lack of experience at the time, the film got made and it taught us a lot about the processes both of writing and film-making. though now, some 4 years later, we focus more on the writing than the production, hamlet continues to drive home the concepts the company was founded upon: a good sense of humour, tightly knit, character-driven storylines and impeccable grammar.
presently, we are workshopping other projects that will eventually join the repertoire to become, like hamlet, a part of bunch of ice history. these include a one-act play to be made freely available for amateur theatre companies, a television pilot currently being adapted for a canadian market, and a canadiana webcomic produced by bunch of ice productions but created by one anya lipchak.
